5th Graders from Girl Scout Troop 104 presented their Citizen Scientist Journey to 4th and 5th grade classes this week. These amazing girls studied how our local trees can be negatively affected by invasive insects. They led three hands on stations for students to explore that shared their research over the past year. The girls encourage all families to check out the scistarter website to explore thousands of projects that you will have fun exploring environment topics.

We need your help to honor the incredible educators who make a difference in your child’s life every day. The Pennsylvania Department of Education is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Teacher of the Year award, and we encourage you to nominate a teacher who has positively impacted your family.
If you know a teacher who inspires, motivates, and supports students, please consider submitting a nomination by December 16, 2024. We would kindly ask that you notify ginobe@bhasd.org (Subject: PA Teacher of the Year NOMINATION) if you nominate one of our excellent staff. The District will be asked to provide follow up information and it would be helpful to know if one of our staff members are nominated in advance.
