For over 15 years, Dr. Fabian has visited our 4th graders with her annual TAR WARS presentation—teaching the dangers of tobacco, vaping, and hookah. As part of the lesson, students create posters with positive messages encouraging others to stay tobacco-free. 🎉 Congratulations to this year’s poster winners: Rosalyn, Laughlin, Avery, and Abe—each received a gift card to Herman’s! Thank you, Dr. Fabian, for continuing to make a lasting impact.

🌿 Big shoutout to our 7th grade conservationists! This winter, they dove into the importance of riparian buffer zones and designed posters that helped shape a brand-new permanent sign—now proudly on display near the stream. It's more than just a sign… it’s a symbol of the meaningful work our students are doing to protect and educate. 💧🪧

Mrs. Hook’s 4th graders are in the middle of a novel study on The BFG and today’s focus was Phizzwizards—very good dreams. ✨ Students created their own dream jars and used circuits to make their Phizzwizards come to life, refreshing their knowledge of how batteries work to complete a circuit. A fun mix of reading, dreaming, and science! 💡📖🌟

🌽💥 Science in Action! 💥🌽 Last week in Gifted, we dove into the world of Ag literacy — and what better way to kick things off than with some delicious popcorn experiments? 🍿💡 Did you know that the moisture level in corn affects how it pops? We put it to the test by popping kernels that were: 🔥 Baked in the oven for an hour 💧 Soaked in water for an hour 🌱 Left as regular kernels And the best part? We had a few extra 'teachers' on hand for Bring Your Child to Work Day, making our popcorn science lesson even more fun!
