After learning about watersheds and maintaining healthy waterways, our 7th grade students began the work of planting native trees along part of Toad Creek. This is the start of an ongoing stream restoration project to build a riparian zone to protect our waters.

There is still time to sign up for BHASD's FREE summer learning opportunity, Camp SPARK. Students in grades K - 8 may attend. Camp Spark will be held the weeks of July 8 - 25. Our primary goal is to provide additional, targeted learning opportunities for students during the summer in a fun and engaging way. This summer programming will allow for remediation activities, as well as enrichment opportunities. If you are interested in having your student(s) participate, please use the QR Code to complete the registration by May 1, 2024. You will receive confirmation that your child is registered for Camp Spark the week of May 6th. We are excited for your child to spend the summer having fun and learning with our staff.

Brandywine Heights School District will be celebrating Plastic Free Lunch Day on Monday, April 22nd in conjunction with Earth Day! Plastic Free Lunch Day provides students an opportunity to learn about plastic pollution and take meaningful plastic-reduction action.  One plastic free day leads to another and creates a vision and actionable ideas to move forward to a sustainable future.

Join us on Friday April 19th at 7pm for the Middle School Talent Show! Acts include singing, dancing, acting, and ventriloquism! Select Chorus and Jazz Band will be performing in exhibition. Admission to the talent show is $5 per person. Student performers do not need to pay admission. All proceeds will help send our students to future county and state music festivals.
