❄️☃️This is a message from the Brandywine Heights Area School District. To help families prepare for tomorrow morning I wanted to send a message out this evening with an update on the status of school tomorrow. The School District will be operating under a two hour delay for tomorrow, Monday, January 19th. Based on the current snow coming down and freezing temperatures over night, a delay will allow time to clear roads and school grounds. We will evaluate conditions in the morning and any additional calls will be made by 8:00 am.

Please stay safe and warm this evening!

The Brandywine Heights Area School District will be operating under a two hour delay. Road conditions, particularly in the higher elevations, have areas where snow has turned to ice and are slippery. A delay will allow additional time to ensure there are safe travel conditions for the opening of school.

The Middle School’s “Bots to New Heights” FLL Robotics team recently competed in a Regional Qualifying Tournament in Downingtown, PA. Students in this club work as a team to design, build, and program LEGO robots to complete themed missions, while also researching a real-world problem and presenting an innovative solution that demonstrates teamwork, creativity, and core values. The team had a fantastic day and did very well at the competition. They left a positive impression on the judges and earned the “Judges Award”, which gives special recognition to a team showing uniqueness, strong potential, and a solid performance throughout the day.

Role Models for Change

This fall, the Caron Education Alliance group Role Models for Change met for 8 weeks, sharpening their leadership skills and preparing an important presentation: Clear Facts About the Dangers of Vaping.

Many of our participants are active Key Club students, and they had the opportunity to share their knowledge with 7th grade health classes, helping to educate their peers about making healthy choices.

We’re so proud of these student leaders for using their voices to make a positive impact in our school community!
