Parents As Teachers (PAT)

Parents are a child's first and most important teachers. The Parents as Teachers program is an evidence-based home visiting model that promotes optimal early learning and the health of children by supporting and engaging parents and caregivers.  Parents as Teachers builds strong communities, thriving families and children who are healthy, safe, learning, and ready for school.

Services are facilitated by certified parent educators with specialized training in working with families who have infants and toddlers. Program participation is voluntary.

The BHASD Birth to Kindergarten program has partnered with Parents as Teachers.  If you live in the Brandywine Heights Area School District and are interested in receiving services from Parents as Teachers, please contact Mrs. Acosta (maraco@bhasd.org or 610-682-5171 ext. 4119), or visit Parents as Teachers for more information.
