🎨✨ In Celebration of Youth Art Month… we’re taking another look inside our classrooms! In Mrs. Greiss' Drawing & Painting I class, students are putting their skills to the test with their first "choice" painting. 🖌️🎭 From brainstorming 💡 to composition thumbnails 🖼️ and color schemes 🎨, they’ve carefully planned out pieces that are meaningful to them. With about a week left until completion, we can’t wait to see their final masterpieces! Stay tuned… 👀

🎲 Jenga... but make it educational! Today in Freshman Seminar, we took this classic game and gave it a stress-related twist. Students pulled a “stressor” card, each assigned a specific number of blocks to remove from the tower. Then, they evaluated how truly stressful their card was compared to others. In small groups, they ranked stressors from most to least stressful—but the real test? 👉 What actually made the tower fall? Was it the biggest stressor, or just the last one added? 🤯 To tie it all together, we introduced the phrase “the straw that broke the camel’s back”—helping students reflect on how stress builds up over time. Great discussions, critical thinking, and a little friendly competition? Sounds like a win!

🏆 BHASD Honored with PASBO School Operations Impact Award! 🏆 We’re proud to share that Brandywine Heights Area School District has been recognized at the PASBO 70th Annual Conference with the School Operations Impact Award for our Feeding Futures: Grab & Go Summer Meal Program! This initiative provided over 22,000 meals to students in need, ensuring that access to fresh, nutritious food didn’t stop when the school year ended. As we celebrate this achievement, it’s fitting that March is also National Nutrition Month—a reminder of the vital role school meal programs play in fueling student success year-round. A huge thank you to our Food Service & Support Team for their hard work and dedication in making this program possible. Your commitment to our students and community is truly inspiring! 💙👏
