Math Holiday of the Month!

Did you know that September 25th is Math Storytelling Day? Our students worked to solve some problems from Bedtime Math this month! If you haven’t checked it out before, the website and free app use fun and engaging stories to help students practice their math skills!

You can also check out DREME: Development and Research in Early Mathematics Education- https://dreme.stanford.edu/news/40-childrens-books-that-foster-a-love-of-math/ for a list of some great math picture books!

Thank you to the VSP Vision Eyes of Hope Mobile Eye Care Clinic for volunteering their time and services in our district over the past two days.

Through their efforts, 67 individuals – including students, family members, and community members – received eye screenings, with 47 prescriptions for glasses provided. This generous support helps ensure our students and families have access to the resources they need to thrive.

Clear vision = brighter futures. We’re so grateful for this partnership!

Pre-K Price learned about the US Constitution on Constitution Day. We talked about why we have classroom rules, what we could do to be a good citizen and we used feather quills and ink to sign our names, just like the Founding Fathers did when they signed the Constitution.

This week, our students began their reading and math target times. These parts of the day allow teachers to hone in on skills students need to continue to grow their skill sets. From the looks of it, students are having fun and working hard! Be sure to ask your child what they did during their target times today! 📖✏️🧠💪🏼
