
Students had the opportunity to tour the Wells-Rapp Center for Mallet Percussion Research at Kutztown University. They viewed rare and historically significant instruments, many of which have been played by world-famous artists. Thank you to KU for having us and to Mrs. Hardy for organizing this cool experience!

As we continue to wrap up our Veterans Day posts, here’s a round-up of photos capturing moments of gratitude and honor. Thank you to everyone who joined us in paying tribute to those who served.

Life skills students and Friends Forever club members hosted Friendsgiving last week! They planned the meal, grocery shopped for ingredients and cooked together. They invited additional guests, had a toast to inclusion, played bingo, and even had a Photo Booth!

FBLA students visited Owowcow and learned how a business is run from owner John. They enjoyed ice cream from Owowcow after the presentation.



Congrats to our October BHASD PROUD students. These students have helped their peers, assisted their teachers, and brought amazing effort to their classes!


In October, several high school choir students auditioned for Berks Senior County Chorus, a select festival ensemble made up of students from Berks County school districts. Three BHHS students qualified for the ensemble. Congratulations to Ellis Kline (soprano), Greta Kline (alto), and Jared Steventon (tenor) for qualifying for Berks Senior County Chorus! This is a wonderful accomplishment, and we’re very proud of all students who auditioned!




High school students are participating in a mock election today. Thank you to Ms. Bross and her AP Government students for helping organize this opportunity for our students!





The Junior Class prevails this year under the Friday night lights in the annual Powderpuff Football Game. It was an intense competition from start to finish. Congrats to all our coaches, players, cheerleaders, and fans!





The students in Señora Shoemaker's classes made papel picado and flores this week to celebrate Día de Los Muertos. At the middle school, students in Intro Spanish hung their papel picado in the classroom. At the high school, students in Spanish 1 & 3 created ofrendas or alters to remember loved ones who have passed. Teachers voted period 5A the winner of the Best Ofrenda contest! Last week, several high school choir students auditioned for District Chorus, a select festival ensemble made up of students from school districts in seven counties, including Berks. Senior Greta Kline (alto) qualified for District Chorus and will represent Brandywine at the festival in February. Congratulations to Greta on this outstanding accomplishment, and we’re very proud of all students who auditioned!
