Role of A Social Services Coordinator

The Social Services Coordinator is an essential member of our educational team, serving as a key link between the school, students, families, and the community. Their primary mission is to foster students' social-emotional growth and academic success by identifying and addressing any challenges that may hinder learning. Collaborating closely with the counseling department, they work to create solutions for personal or family difficulties that impact students.

In this role, the Social Services Coordinator provides comprehensive support, including leading individual and group social skills lessons, developing targeted intervention plans, and partnering with teachers and administrators to cultivate a nurturing and inclusive school environment. They are strong advocates for students, ensuring that every child has equitable access to the educational resources they need to thrive.

Beyond the school setting, the Social Services Coordinator is committed to supporting students and their families in navigating life's challenges. This includes guiding families through health insurance applications, assisting with vision care needs, and offering resources to alleviate financial stresses related to housing and food insecurity.
