The Technology Department’s main office is located in the Middle School and consists of the Assistant Superintendent, Lead Technician, and two Support Technicians.  BHASD implemented a 1:1 initiative in 2013 and is fully equipped to meet the demands of 21st century learning.  In addition to maintaining/managing the network and servicing equipment, the technology department provides resources and professional development to help support the instructional process.

The Technology Department is composed of two main components (instructional and network).

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the following:

1. Curriculum applications of technology/classroom technology

2. Technology staff development

3. Technology budget

4. Classroom and office computers/technology inventory

5. Media Center technology

6. Instructional Technology Plan

The Network Technology Department (Nymbol IT) is responsible for the following:

1. All Web based applications

2. Technology staff development

3. Data network and network security

4. Network services (e-mail, web, servers, etc.)

5. Internet access and filtering

6. Service and repair on the above
