2023-2024 Mid-year Goals
The Comprehensive Plan is a revised process developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The Brandywine Heights Area School District was part of the first phase of districts in the state to use the new Comprehensive Plan model which replaced the old Strategic Plan. The new Comprehensive Plan is purposely developed to closely analyze data in decision making as districts make future educational goals. It also allows input from all the departments and school buildings which impact the final decisions of the plan. The Comprehensive Plan is a collaborative effort between parents, staff, administration, School Board members, and our community.
Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, these groups participated in meetings, shared insights, aspirations and suggestions, and formulated a plan to continue to move the district forward during the next four years.
The Comprehensive Plan is a developed as a progression of core elements consisting of District Profile, Core Foundations, Assurances, Needs Assessment, and finally a District Level Plan. Members of the District Comprehensive Planning Committee formed subcommittees to provide valuable input and formulate each of the component plans. The subcommittees were the Professional Education Committee, the Safe and Supportive Schools Committee, and the Special Education Committee.
