Senator Mensch toured Brandywine Heights High School today to see the programs offered in the Technical Education, Project Lead the Way (PLTW), and Virtual Academy classrooms. Students presented projects and demonstrated use of new equipment that was purchased with the Job Training and Education Program grant. The new equipment, planer, laser engraver, 3D printer and PLTW technology devices, will support students in their quest to learn and explore new functions and programs related to technical education and career pathways. Through these educational experiences students will learn the tools and skills that will foster the growth of their critical thinking and problem solving skills. These opportunities expand upon their creativity, encourage more peer collaboration, and ultimately provide for a more successful learning experience in future endeavors.
